Continue past Awashima's Maritime Museum to find a cute beach house that hides a restaurant inside! Open only during the warmer months, Awaloha brings the aloha spirit to Awashima! The food literally could not be fresher, with lunch sets featuring vegetables grown in locals' home vegetable gardens and seafood caught by the owner (who also works as a fisherman). The seasonal smoothies are also a perennial favorite.

The interior is illuminated by sunlight streaming in through large windows facing the sea. The warm wooden interior is complemented by the beautiful view, though on sunny days guests may prefer to take advantage of the wider view offered by the outdoor seating.
