Fudonotaki Country Park

Cherry blossoms, new buds, fall foliage, and dusted snow: beautiful in all four seasons.

Fudonotaki Falls is set into Mt. Shippozan. It is said that Kobodaishi (AKA Kukai), an important figure in Japanese buddhism, buried seven treasures there, giving the mountain its name (which means "seven treasure mountain" in Japanese).
This site is now also the site of a park with a playground, open space, and miniature golf course.
Falling straight down from a height of 50 meters, the waterfall itself is a beautiful sight. The name Fudonotaki, or "Acala waterfall" also comes from Kobodaishi, who is said to have carved an image of Acala into a rock where the waterfall begins. This site is designated as one of Sanuki's 100 Scenic Spots.
