Furindo

Addictingly delicious homemade spice curry

A locationless curry restaurant started by the Nagai family after moving to Mitoyo from Tokyo. This rare curry is only available at events or on weekends at Roadside Station Takaradanosato Saita.
This family follows a lifestyle they call "han-no x han-curry," a portmanteau of the japanese words for "half farming" and "half curry." Available curries include Chicken curry and Keema Curry as well as various curries made with seasonal vegetables. The rice served with the curry was grown by the family in a rice paddy in Saita and is an aromatic and toothsome blend between japanese and Indian rices that pairs perfectly with the mellow curry roux. The vegetables served also include those grown by the family.

  • Achar made from homegrown red onion and carrots and carrot râpées. A delicious counterpoint when mixed with curry.
  • Available for purchase on weekends within Roadside Station Takaradanosato Saita
