Just off the shores of Chichibugahama Beach, Hyakusai Kikuten is located within Hyakusai Syoten, a souvenir shop that aims to tell the story of the surrounding area.

From the owner's desire to bring joy to visitors to Chichibugahama Beach sprang the idea to sell gelato, something anyone can enjoy regardless of age or gender. They imagined people of all ages coming together to enjoy gelato while looking out across the sea.

Hyakusai Kikuten recommends the boysenberry gelato, made with locally grown boysenberries, and the classic vanilla, made with local eggs. Boysenberries are a type of raspberry, with a distinctive balance of sweetness and tartness. The rich vanilla gelato uses eggs from Namikoshi Poultry Farm near Chichibugahama Beach, giving it a rich yet mild flavor that's hard to resist!
