Tofu Shop Kanshoku

Although this tofu manufacturer has been producing tofu locally for over 70 years, they recently opened a direct sales shop in order to provide fresh-made tofu to the local area!
The most important factors in tofu-making is the water and the way the soybeans are cooked. (grind precisely, cook thoroughly, and it will come together). The company was started by the current owner's grandmother after the second world war and carried on by their father, the company being brought up among the beauty and abundance of the local area.
The shop is located directly next to the factory, enabling it to sell fresh-made oboro tofu and cold tofu, and still-hot atsuage and abura-age. Don't miss the oboro tofu, straight from production to shelves maintaining the strong umami flavor of the soybeans and with a melt-in-your-mouth texture.
For those with a sweet tooth, there's also tofu soft serve. It's light sweetness and subtle flavor can't be found anywhere else!

Akiyama, the owner, grew up watching their grandmother and parents making tofu every day. After three generations, many varieties of their tofu are available at local supermarkets as well as the direct sales shop, where the freshest tofu is available every day.
