Just one group per night can enjoy this exclusive vacation rental and sake-brewing experience at a former sake brewery with 150 years of history. But Mitoyo Tsuru TOJI is more than just a place to experience sake brewing.

What you experience here is the chance to “brew yourself.”

Imagine yourself as the rice used in the sake-making process. Through your stay, you’ll experience the different stages of sake brewing as if going through the fermentation process yourself—a truly immersive way to discover the culture of sake making. Experiencing sake brewing from a completely different perspective may spark new ideas or simply leave you feeling refreshed.

The pride of Mitoyo Tsuru TOJI is the bathing area. There are four kinds of baths to choose from: a kamaburo bath, a bath where you can stretch out and lie back, an open-air bath, and an indoor bath. The kamaburo bath uses the large cauldron once used to steam rice for sake, while the open-air bath is made from a wooden barrel once used in the sake-brewing process. The baths use disinfected groundwater that was once used as brewing water for sake.

With space for up to 11 guests, it's perfect for friend groups, multiple families traveling together, or company training sessions and retreats.
