Mitoyo Tsuru TOJI

Brew a new you at a 150 year-old sake brewery-turned guesthouse

(Kagawa, Shikoku, Japan) Just one group per night can enjoy this exclusive vacation rental/sake brewery experience. However, Mitoyo Tsuru TOJI isn't an active brewery; instead, guests get to experience brewing themselves.

With yourself as the rice used in the sake-making process, experience the process from start to finish and get a sake brewery experience in the most literal sense of the word. For those tired of traditional tours and experiences, this is your chance to truly get into the action of sake brewing.

The pride of Mitoyo Tsuru TOJI is the bathing room. There are four kinds of baths to choose from: a kamaburo bath, an open-air bath, a bath where you can stretch out fully, and an indoor bath. The kamaburo bath is actually made from the pot used to steam rice for sake, and the outdoor bath is a barrel that was formerly used for storing sake. The water for the baths is fortified with sake-derived nutrients and comes from an underground water source.

With space for up to eleven guests, it's perfect for friend groups, multi-family weekends, or company retreats.
No matter the group or the reason, enjoy your own sake experience at Mitoyo Tsuru TOJI.

  • Enjoy the all-weather BBQ space for a delicious post-bath meal
  • Become the head of the brewery while mixing up the bath
