Shonai Peninsula Olive Farm

Olive Grove on the Shonai Peninsula – A Scenic Hill Embraced by the Seto Breeze

Perched on a gentle hill overlooking the calm Seto Inland Sea and its islands, this olive grove on the Shonai Peninsula is home to about 700 olive trees, offering stunning views that shift beautifully with the seasons.

Lovingly cultivated with a commitment to no pesticides, hand-picking, and local production, the olives are pressed into high-quality olive oil available for purchase.
Two premium-grade extra virgin olive oils are available:

Mission – Bold and peppery, with a refreshing finish. Perfect with meats.

Lucca – Light and fruity, reminiscent of green apples. Ideal with white fish, bread, and cheese.

Within the grove, there is a self-service shop offering drinks, olive oil, and local goods. Enjoy your time on the wooden deck while taking in the view.
You’ll also find unique items made from olive leaves, such as milk jam, herbal tea, and hair & body smoothing oil.

This breathtaking location was chosen as a filming site for major Japanese beer commercials in 2023 and 2025.
Come and unwind while taking in the panoramic beauty of the Seto Inland Sea.
