Ride 7 minutes to reach a gorgeous park with a view of the Setouchi. The Unpenji Summit Park is home to the Skyview Swingset, sitting on the crest of a hill 920m up.
Look down over the Sanuki Plain or towards the Seto Inland Sea, take a ride on the Skyview Swingset, use the photo frame for a commemorative snap, or sit on one of the many colorful benches- there are so many ways to take fun photos in Unpenji Summit Park! Relax after the fun at the coffee shop located within the park. Unpenji Ropeway: Situated close to the border between Kagawa Prefecture and Tokushima Prefecture, the ropeway connects to the top of Mt. Unpenji. It is 2,594m long and spans a 657m change in elevation in approximately 7 minutes at a speed of 36km/h. The ropeway accomodates 101 passengers. This makes it the largest-scale ropeway in Japan. There are 1,882 meters between the second and third support pillars, the furthest distance in Japan.

Directions:
・35 min by car from Chichibugahama Beach to the lower ropeway station
・15 min from the Onohara exit of the Takamatsu Expressway
・Parking on Unpenji's summit is reserved for temple visitors only. Anyone using the park must park their vehicle at the lower ropeway station.
※The Kagawa-Tokushima Prefectural border is very close to the exit of the summit ropeway station. Proceed on the Tokushima side to reach Unpenji Temple (#66 on the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimmage); the main hall is about 150m up the path. On the Kagawa side, follow the path 200m to reach Unpenji Summit Park.
