URASHIMA VILLAGE

Don't just steal time for yourself, abandon yourself to it in the land of Urashima Taro

(Kagawa, Shikoku, Japan)The Shonai Penninsula, home to the Legend of Urashima Taro.
According to the legend, Urashima Taro's journey began when he rescued a turtle, and it's said that he did so on the uninhabited Maruyamajima Island. Overlooking this legendary location is URASHIMA VILLAGE.
Visitors are transported to a time when fishermen could be carried to underwater palaces, and when the ordinary was extraordinary.

Just three buildings are located on this 12,000meter plot, making it the perfect private hideaway.
The theme of URASHIMA VILLAGE is Time. Time to relax and watch the sunset. Time to listen to the gentle lapping of the waves. Time to stroll along a deserted beach at dawn.
At low tide, guests can head down to the beach and traverse the exposed sandbar to reach Maruyamajima Island on foot.
In addition to the guest buildings, there is a party building designed for large gatherings or meetings. The whole space can be rented out for multi-family gatherings or companywide workcations, turning the whole area into your personal village.
Come and experience the best Time the Seto Inland Sea can offer.
